Dangerous Wind Chill Remains Till Wednesday Noon

The wind child advisory continues for Sawyer County as well as our neighbors, Burnett, Washburn, Douglas, Ashland, Bayfield and Price in Northwest Wisconsin.

Bitterly cold temperatures will continue through tonight and tomorrow morning with -4 as high day time temps dipping to -18 overnight tonight. Winds will remain at 5 to 10 mph making for a dangerous wind chill temperature ranging between 2o and 35 below zero.

This wind chill advisory remains in effect until Wednesday at Noon. The cold wind chills will cause frostbite to exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.

If you go outside today, make sure to wear your hat and gloves and protect your skin.

Warmer temperatures will arrive on Thursday as highs reach 8 above, with a 50% chance of less than an inch of snow.

Friday is forecasted 3 above and temps will dip below zero again on Saturday, with a day time high of 5 below.
