Hayward Man Arrested for Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence, 5th Offense

Angelo J Perry, 31 years of age, from Hayward has been arrested [today] by the Wisconsin State Patrol Spooner Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 5th offense. 

At approximately 1:00 pm a Wisconsin State Patrol trooper stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation on County Road B east of Hayward. During the course of the stop it was determined that the driver, Angelo J. Perry, had been drinking. Field sobriety tests were done and the driver was arrested for 5th offense OWI, a felony. The driver was also in violation of the terms of his probation. Mr. Angelo was transported to the Hayward Hospital for a blood test and then taken to the Sawyer County Jail to be held for court. 

Pursuant to the direction of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, as found in Supreme Court Rule 20:3.6, Trial Publicly, you are advised that a charge is merely an accusation and that a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
