Neff Becomes All-Time Hayward Girls Basketball Scoring Leader

With 11:53 left in the 2nd half of Tuesday night’s game, Madelyn Neff scored her 1,289th career point, becoming the all-time leading scorer in Hayward girls basketball history surpassing the previous record of 1,288 set by Katie (Hanson) Pate in 1993.

Madelyn scored a game-high 23 points to lead the Canes over Cumberland 76-10 to remain unbeaten in Heart O’ North Conference play and improved to 11-2 overall.

Neff scored another 18 points last night as Hayward defeated the Northwestern Tigers 45-22, bringing her total points to 1,307.
