In Memory of Charles Milton Caddy Jr.

Charles M. Caddy Jr., age 74, of Loretta, WI passed away peacefully Friday, December 22, 2017 at his home.
Charles Milton Caddy Jr. was born September 28, 1943 in Chicago, IL the son of Charles Sr. and Katherine (Taylor) Caddy. He grew up in Antioch, IL and attended Antioch Community High School. Chuck joined the United Stated Air Force in 1961 with his brother Duane, earning the rank of A2C E-3 with an honorable discharge on September 30, 1965. After his service Chuck worked for Commonwealth Edison for some time, then joined his stepfather Elmer’s business, Christophersen Electric. He eventually started his own business Caddy Electric. Chuck came to the north woods of Loretta, Wi in 1990 with a good friend, Uncle Art, to buy property. It was always hard for him to leave his new cabin and go back down. In 1997 the cabin became Chuck and Laurel’s forever home. Together they bought land from Bert and Cecile Bishop to start their dream of owning an orchard. Working hard together Thronapple Orchard was established. Chuck and Laurel joined hands and hearts in marriage on June 13, 1998. He retired from his electrical business in 2005 but continued to help others with electrical issues. Chuck enjoyed living in the north woods, hunting, fishing and spending time with his friends.
He is survived by his wife Laurel; daughter Liza; brothers Duane Caddy, Keith Christophersen; sister Jan Otterson; sister-in-law Harriet Christophersen; nephews Keith (Amanda) Christophersen Jr., Steve Christophersen, Mark Otterson, Scott Otterson; nieces Becky Christophersen, Tammi Caddy, Dawn Caddy, Kim Kempher; and cousin Mary Taylor.
Chuck was preceded in death by his father Charles Caddy Sr.; mother Katherine Caddy Christophersen; step-father Elmer Christophersen; step-brother Ronnie Christophersen; brother-in-law Thomas Otterson; and nephew Tommy Otterson.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
