In Memory of Eleanore L. Glodoski

July 27, 1926 - February 4, 2018

Eleanore Glodoski, age 91, of Hayward, WI passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at the Hayward Area Memorial Hospital. 

Eleanore Louisa was born July 27, 1926 in Wauwatosa, WI the daughter of Hans and Eleanor (Drought) Kropp.  Eleanore was raised in Wauwatosa and graduated from high school there.  After her schooling she went to work for Allis Chalmers in West Allis where she had an office position for several years.  On November 11, 1950 Eleanore was joined in marriage to Donald Glodoski.  Eleanore and Donald settled in Milwaukee, WI after his time in service.  Eleanore was a homemaker raising their three children and also helping at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church and School in Greendale, WI.  It was here that she established a learning center with a focus on reading skills for elementary students.  In 1984, Eleanore and Donald moved to Winter, WI where they lived on Black Dan Lake where she loved to listen to the loons.  Eleanore was an active member of the VFW Auxiliary and St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Winter.  After the death of her husband in 2002, Eleanore moved to Franklin, WI where she again volunteered to assist children in learning to read.  In 2015, she moved to Hayward, WI.  She loved her time with her family and also enjoyed playing cards and reading.

Eleanore is survived by her three children, Penny (Joseph) Bloechl of Milwaukee, WI, Marty (Cindy) Glodoski and Larry (Mary) Glodoski, both of Hayward, WI; eleven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; and two sisters, Marjorie Emery and Betty Liska.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Eleanore at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 12th, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hayward with Father Gerard Willger officiating.  Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Monday at the church.  Interment will be in the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, WI.
