In Memory of Harold Cadotte

Harold J. Cadotte, age 86, of Hayward, WI died Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth, MN.
Harold Jerome Cadotte was born July 24, 1931 in Bayfield, WI the son of Robert and Agnes (Bourgeois) Cadotte. Harold’s spent his early years near Bayfield and then his family moved to Ashland, WI where he graduated from Depadua High School. He joined the U.S. Marine Corp on February 21, 1952 and served in active duty until 1954 and then served with the reserves until being honorably discharged on February 20, 1960. Harold earned the National Defense Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal and the Korean Service Medal for his time in service. On May 3, 1952, Harold was joined in marriage to Lois Lloyd in Ashland. After Harold’s military service he returned to Wisconsin and began work as an insurance agent for Metropolitan Insurance in Hayward, WI. Harold moved onto a career in the banking industry where he worked for Peoples National Bank and then the State Bank of Hayward where he served as executive vice president. He also obtained his real estate license and taught Real Estate law for WITC. He was a member of Hayward Lions Club, Knights of Columbus, Hayward VFW and American Legion, and a charter member of the Fresh Water Fishing HalHe was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 64 years, Lois; three brothers, Delmer, William and Fred; and one sister, Joanne Little.l of Fame. He was honored as veteran of the year in Hayward in 2015. Harold served on the Hayward Area Memorial Hospital Board, Hayward Community Credit Union Board, Seven County Mental Health Board and volunteered for the Hayward Hospital Auxiliary. He enjoyed golfing and served as a ranger for the Hayward Golf Course in his retirement.
Harold is survived by his two children, Cheryl Lynn (Pat) Walden of Medford, OR, Mark Jerome (Cindy) Cadotte of Sublimity, OR; four grandchildren, Tyler Walden of Portland, OR, Kelly Walden of Ashland, OR, Ashley Cadotte of Salem, OR, Travis Cadotte of Denver, CO, one sister-in-law, Donna Hockin of Ironwood, MI; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 64 years, Lois; three brothers, Delmer, William and Fred; and one sister, Joanne Little.
